"Quarter of a Century"

Today I turn 25.

This is one birthday that I have been totally okay with, I have plans with my friends for a fun, not crazy, night out. Singing some karaoke and munching appetizers.

This is the first b-day celebration my sister, Jessica, will attend.

I have the most wonderful boyfriend, who worked in cahoots, with my bestie to delivery a card-a-day during my bday week. They were all hilarious!

I woke-up to my beautiful daughter inches from my face, screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mama (according to TM when she woke up at 4am (she was calling him through the monitor), she asked him "is it time yet?"-- HOW SWEET is she!!!)

Best way, hands down, to wake-up on my 25th birthday.

I asked for an ironing board and blower... received BOTH! E helped me open my blower.

TM bought everything needed to make my favorite breakfast: Banana pancakes and bacon! Love him. Breakfast will be enjoyed tomorrow when E can enjoy with us. She is in "summer camp" at her school during the week, M-F, 9-2.

I AM OFF WORK on Friday's -- I AM SPENDING MY 25TH RELAXING IN MY CHAIR (I did run to the store to get E some much needed shorts, shes a 4T now!), watching the Casey Anthony Trial. BLISS.

Basically this has been the best birthday I have had in 25 years. I have never been happier with my life, it makes me excited to celebrate many more bdays this way. This officially tops 2006 (If you were present, you know what Im talking about).

**EDIT
TM & My mom BOTH got me two (totaling 4) new charms for my Pandora bracelet. Mom got a swirly one with purple stones and a flowery one with black stones. TM got me an ELEPHANT (!!) and a house... b/c my house is now a home & he is thankful to be a part of this family. :-)

"April 4, 2008... April 4, 2011"

E,
I still can't believe that today, you turn 3. It blows my mind that it has already been THREE years. It feels as if I was, just holding my tiny newborn. You have grown and learned so much over the past year. It blows me away at how incredibly smart you are. You are so vocal yet at the same time you are so observant. You're the reason I get up in the mornings. Hearing you say "Good Morning Mommy" is by far the bast way to wake up. You have gone from unsure toddler to a very confident little girl. Everyday I thank God for picking me to be your mommy. You have so many people in your life who love you and feel so blessed to know you. You have the biggest heart and love everyone you meet. Everyday there is something new that you do that astounds me. I can't believe how lucky I am to have you, it's been THREE years and I still feel like I need to pinch myself to make sure its all real. We have our good days and we have our bad days, we're girls, its bound to happen, but our bad days make our good days that much better. When you say: "Mommy I love you the whole world" no matter what little crisis I may be going through those words make it all better. In the last year you have: moved more times than anybody ever should and you adjusted wonderfully each time, gone from a crib to a toddler bed to a twin bed, started preschool 3 days a week, willingly on your own given up your baba, and you are fully potty trained. Your laughter is contagious and boy did we laugh a lot. Without you I don't know what my life would be like, you are my sun on a rainy day. You completed me the day you were born. Happy Birthday baby! I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for us.

I love you doodles.
Love,
Mommy

"Ready"

Right now I am lucky enough to stay home with my pretty in the mornings on Thursday & Fridays. So I decided I have neglected my reader for long enough; I started perusing blogs as I sipped my coffee with a smile on my face.

I don't know exactly when it happened, but I realized I AM READY...

...to be happy; Not just sometimes but always.

...to stop over analyzing, everything.

...to leave the past where it belongs, in the past.

...to take the walls down, slowly & open up.

and I am ready...

...for March to come, my life is unfolding around me and I am stuck in this vortex. I can't get out but I see everything happening.

Come Feb. 28 I will only have one job.
     I will go from working M-W 9-2 at job1 and M 215-545 T&F 215-530 W 115-530 and Th 215-600 at job2 to working M&W 9-330, T&Th 9-2 at job1.

I am excited for this change, the chance to continue making money and supporting my daughter and I, but also the opportunity to spend more time with my girl and to focus on school.

Instead of being so stressed out from the moment I leave work and walk in the door at night, trying to get dinner on the table, E in a bath and ready for bed all in the span of about 1.5 hrs. I will be able to get dinner on the table at a decent time while enjoying the time with my girl without constantly checking the clock.

I know I will MISS my kids like crazy. Not just my 4th graders but Heathers and her 3rd graders, Allison and her 2nd graders and Vickie and her1st graders and my Kindergarten "babies" (I dont like the K teacher and will NOT miss her)

The good thing is I am leaving on a positive note, I don't like burning bridges, so I WILL go visit when it fits my schedule.

I love ext day but E has been acting out, bad. I honestly believe it's b/c she doesn't see me enough and she wants attention, good or bad. I had to make the hard decision to leave the job that causes me to be home so late and away from her.

I know this decision will help make me happy, all the time.

The other things will come with time.

Things like that don't happen over night. I am starting to take the walls down, brick-by-brick. I have been really happy as of late, while I may analyze, everything, I am still smiling.

I also realized this morning, that I may be "replaceable" but NOONE is ME. I have so much love and happiness to offer too right person. I think I have found the right person to give that love and happiness too, but I am not sure he is ready... I am willing to walk slow, by his pace. Only time will tell.

"30 Days of Me- Day 20"

30 Days Of Me!

Day 20: Someone you see yourself marrying or being with in the future

I don't have a certain person in mind. But I know the qualities I am looking for.
I am 24 with 1 divorce under my belt. Its embarrassing. So when/if I get married again, It is a dream of mine, I want it to be right no question about it. I will not go through another divorce & E will be older and I don't want her to expierence that, she was a newborn when I got divorced the first time.
Seeing as I have been through the "ringer" if you will I know what I do and do not want. I don't need to make a list on here as long as I know in my head & heart what qualities I am looking for.

The most important to me is I want a Family Man.
Heres a snap shot:

Craig Campbell "Family Man"

I've been working as a temp
At the local factory
I hope they hire me on full time
I've got shoes to buy
and a mouth to feed.

I drive a buy here, pay here truck
It ain't new, but it is for me
It ain't much but it fires right up
and get me from A to B

What puts the dirt underneath my nails
What keeps the calluses on my hands
Family man

They're a world my world revolves around
My sacred piece of solid ground
The flesh and bone that gives me strength to stand
They are a fire in my driving on
The drive behind my coming home
The living, breathing, reason that I am
A family man

There's dirty shirts to wash
Dishes in the sink to do
And there's how many times
Does 17 go into 52
There's bedtime prayers to pray
Sleep tights and I love you's
And then there's a pair of eyes
I get to lose myself into

What keeps me keeping the faith
What makes me believe I can
Family man

They're a world my world revolves around
My sacred piece of solid ground
The flesh and bone that gives me strength to stand
They are a fire in my driving on
The drive behind my coming home
The living, breathing, reason that I am
A family man

There's a fire in my driving on
The drive behind my coming home
The living, breathing, reason that I am
A family man

A family man

I know its just a song but he does a good job capturing what I feel is a real man. I could just be the "place" I am at right now in my life but I love this song and the meaning behind it.

"A Few Things"

-GO MAGIC! Lets WIN TONIGHT & SHOW the Celtics who's Boss!! (and Shut Nicole A. UP!!! Muhahaha!!!)

-I love the A/C and until two nights ago, when M put ours in, our room was hotter then the hinges on the gates of hell. Now the rest of the house is HOT! It was in the 90's yesterday... I love hot weather... when I have a cool house to come back into.

-The fridge door is fixed.

-I absolutely love when E sings [and dances] along with me when we sing: The Wheels on the bus, Itsty, Bitsy, Spider & Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star... we sing others but those are the only 3 she actually knows the words too. I've tried to get an audio clip via my iPhone [voice memos] but she knows & stops. What a smartie.

-I move in exactly 3 weeks and have yet to start packing, when should I start panicking?

-I forgot how good frosted animal crackers are.

-I decided I am going to take E to "Storytime LIVE" by NickJR... It has Dora, The Backyardagins, Kai Lan & The Wonder Pets. I think she will have fun. Its in August in Orlando. Tickets go on sale in a month.

-I head, via people who saw it yesterday, that SATC2 sucked... that hurts my heart. I loved the show & the first movie. Sigh.

-I have yet to watch the 1st epi of "The Bachelorette" & for some reason I have no desire, whatsoever. I liked Ali, I picked her in the 2nd epi to win but IDK why I don't want to watch.

-I want my shoes, NOW! I know when M ordered them for me they said 4-6 weeks but GAH I want them NOW! I also know they are my day present and my bday is in 20 days... June 17 incase you want to send me something shiny... haha Im kidding... kinda.

-I can't wait to go to the beach house tomorrow through Monday night. It will be a much needed change of scenery. E will also enjoy the beach, park(s), pool, etc. It will be fun. PLUS M & I will get to go on a DATE, our fist dinner alone since OCT and in Oct E wasn't even in PA with me, she was in FL w.my parents. I am stoked. We NEED this.

-I got straight A's this semester, it was my first semester in GRAD SCHOOL. I was taking a full load, according to my college, which is 2 classes and I got 2 A's. I have never in my life gotten straight A's . THISISABIGDEAL. I hope it makes my transfer easy.

...

I hope everyone has a good & safe Memorial Day weekend. See you back here BRIGHT & EARLY Monday AM... xo love you my gorgeous gum-drops!

"Goodies"

I had the best Mother's day I have ever had, this year, 10 days ago, damn procrastination. I got to spend it with my 2 lovelies.

Sunday is our family day. Its M's only full day off (he works 1/2 days Saturdays). So its the only FULL day we have as a family & boy do we take advantage.

Mothers Day started early for me as I bought myself this VERY VERSITILE (and awesomely "GREEN") purse in my favy color... its more purple in person. (UrbanJunket): Originally $105...on sale for $32 through Jasmere.com .

Wondering why I bought MYSELF something? Well M has this theory... Im NOT his mother... so why should he have to get me something? My thoughts are that I am the mother of "his" child and that is to be celebrated with lots of wonderful goodies. So I didn't think I was going to get anything, and I was perfectly fine dealing with it. So I got myself something.

I am a good mom. I deserve a little something every now & again. So what if I have a lot of purses and shoes. This was a GOOD deal, plus its good for MOTHER earth... it was MOTHER'S day after all (earth day wasn't so long ago either!). That arrived in the mail on the Thursday before MD. Yay! The same day I received the purse from my mom . We are so much alike.

I had a big project due the following week so I was working my butt off all weekend, Saturday (the day before MD) E and I needed to run to ACMoore for some supplies for my project, as I walk outside my FIL directs my attention to these:

"These are yours, they're from E" I got the biggest smile on my face. M never ceases to amaze me. At this point E says "Mama meme give you flowers!! Meme gives you flowers!!!!" She was so excited. Not even 5 mins later I get a txt :

"Do you like them? Happy Mothers Day baby"

Then on Sunday M asks me if I want a special breakfast... "No just waffles & coffee, but you will make it wrong so I did it already" So while we were eating he handed me a card...

"Happy Mothers Day" ($25 GC to target!)
"I won't dare try to pick out something (clothes/shoes wise) for you"

I wasn't expecting anything else b/c I got the flowers & even that was more then what I was expecting b/c of his philosophy. I was pleasantly surprised, and he could tell by the big smile on my face. With my GC I got:
This colorful, perfect for summer, [& PERFECT length, which for someone 5foot is hard to do], Maxi Dress, A cute, flowy, T-Back black tank; with sequin accents (hard to see in pic) and my favs purple/berry colored ballet flats w.ruffles. These go w. over half my closet (and my new dress & shirt since its black!):

So versitile & comfy.

We also went to the outlets, b/c I had been wanting to go forever. What better day then Mothers Day? While there I got a few cardigans from Gap and a shirt for $10 from Banana Republic, thats a steal, yall! I bought E a pair of Neon, hurts your eyes they are so bright, pink crocs but not the typical style. She got these:

Over all it was a great day. Sadly it led into one of the worst weeks we've had since we've lived up here. She got yet another ear infection, we experienced the day from hell , she got a stomach bug, then she got a little better and I got sick. Now we are all healthy and we can look back and smile b.c thats LIFE. It happens.

Thanks to my wonderful fiancee & daughter (and mom too a few days before) for the best Mothers Day yet.

...

See yall tomorrow!

"May 10, 2009"

--Disclaimer: This has to do with religion, I know some are not comfortable with religion or God. Thats fine, this is MY blog & no one is forcing you to read it, I suggest I you are uncomfortable with the topic that you do not read todays post. It's as easy as that. I will not tolerate: mean, hateful or nasty comments. Period. The End.

One year ago TODAY (mother's day last yr)- I made the decision to dedicate my daughter, usually it would have been done when she was just a month old but GD was still hanging around, like a bad fungus, said "No way". As 1/2 of her genetics, I said fine, then took a shower and cried. I wanted MY daughter to be dedicated.

That doesn't mean God wasn't present EVERY SINGLE DAY, just b/c she wasn't dedicated.

A baptist dedication is not a baptism, she can get baptized if/when she knows and understands what it means. Until then I wanted to take a part in my daughters Christian upbringing.

When you have your child dedicated you go up in front of the entire congregation and your pastor asks if you're willing to raise your child in a godly way. Before I had her dedicated I was very sporadic in my attendance at church. Holiday's, Family Occasions, etc.

Not only did I dedicate to raise my daughter that the Lord comes first, but I dedicated my own life. After that day, I started to attend church regularly, again. The way I saw it was, I was raised in that church and my daughter deserved the same better.

When I woke her in Sundays, I used to say "It's church day!! Are you ready to go to God's house?" I loved seeing how excited she got. I CAN NOT WAIT until June to see that same excited expression on her face again. She is so loved by the nursery staff & by our entire church family. All of whom watched me grow & mature. I can't wait for them to all watch her grow & mature. They've already watched her for a yr.

I am so glad I made the decision to have her dedicated. I talk to her about Jesus & he amazing unwavering love. I am not perfect, but I do the best job I can.

I couldn't think of a way to get on her level, so I was talking to my good friend and she suggested "Veggie Tales"- at first E was not interested, now she loves her "Amato". After we get done watching, I always talk to her about it. I don't want to loose a chance to talk to her about the Lord.

She was given a small chapter of the bible when she was dedicated. I think she is still to young ROUGH to have that yet, so it still sits on the VERY TOP of her book shelf, that is something I want her to treasure when she is a little gentler with her things.

To make it an even more special day, her Godmother, Hayley, my best friend of 20+ years drove 2 hours to be in attendance. It was a beautiful day.

Here are a few pictures- [HK tried to take a few while E was actually being dedicated but my small P&C cams flash wasn't good enough and the pics inside the church didn't show up. I know someone from the church staff took some. I should hunt those down & have HK thow those in the back of the 2009/2010 (#2) Scrappie. HAHA. ily.]

All the moms- Godmommy Hayls, Mama Me, 13mon old E & My Mom aka 'Nana':

My Dad aka 'PePaw', E, Stepmom Jane aka Grandma, not so little 10y/o sister Destiny:

Godmommy & E

"It's No Secret"

It's No Secret... That I NEED my coffee in the AM.

It's No Secret... That every 6weeks w/o fail (before I moved) you could find me at the salon gossiping w.Mandi w.foils in my hair.

It's No Secret... That every 3.5 weeks I have my kindle or most recent book, my favy OPI nail polish & I politely tell the little Korean guy how I would like my nails filled & I go about reading my book . I am a mother of a toddler I get very little quiet time. I don't feel bad that I don't try to talk to him.

It's No Secret... That I have a HUGE sweet tooth.

It's No Secret...That I am addicted to tanning, in a tanning bed . Sad, I know.

It's No Secret...That I should drink more water & less [diet] soda.

It's No Secret...That I should exercise more.

It's No Secret...That I hate being cold, but always am.

It's No Secret...That I procrastinate like nobody's business.

It's No Secret...That I love doing house work, minus laundry. IDK why, I just hate it.

It's No Secret...I never find anything good when I go thrifting, ever. So I rarely go anymore.

It's No Secret...That I trust too easily. Once you loose that trust, you're SOL, I will never trust you again.

It's No Secret...I am [and always will be] a single mom, even after I am married.

It's No Secret...That I want to be a surrogate.

It's No Secret...I have been thinking about egg donation, still unsure.

It's No Secret...That i've made my fair share of mistakes in life but they've made me who I am today.

It's No Secret...That I am pretty much an open book, about most things.

Until recently I didn't feel the need to hide (or keep anything a secret). For the most part I knew who read my blog.

If you know me IRL you know that I don't feel the need to put on a front. So obvi I dont in here in my small, humble corner of the interwebz? I have even talked about how much I hate how ppl try to come off as 'rockstars' .

I put it all out there b/c I have the best gosh darn reader a gal could ask for! Yall are supportive when I need a shoulder to lean on but yall also give me a good smack too, like any good readers friends would.

When I had anom. commenters I put a stop to them but addressing them publicly in a blog . I also had drama on my Formspring ...I addressed them via Twitter & they stopped.

They have started again. I don't want to have to start censoring my writing. Nor do I feel I should have to answer to bullies who are being cowardly by hiding behind anom. comments.

I am who I am. I am open for the world (ek! Thats kind of a scary thought) to see read about. If you feel the need to be mean, rude or nasty, be so with your name and a link to how I can respond to you via E-Mail or Blog or Don't do so at all and LEAVE MY BLOG.

NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ.

I am a 23 yr old single stay-at-home-mom in graduate school full-time. I am about to make my 3rd move since starting this blog. I am also going to start planing a wedding, mine. My life is not all that exciting, I am sure you can live with out my life's happenings and opinions b/c thats ALL this blog is; MY LIFE & OPINIONS.

I LOVE EACH & EVERY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO READ & COMMENT [maturely] DAY IN AND DAY OUT.

...

I have slowly but surely been putting together my lesson for next week, I am so excited about it! Its about pilgrims. I actually can't wait to teach it. I will be using my inlaws tomorrow night as my "testers".

- I did not trash talk the Office Max & Office Depo chicks to the Kinkos guy... b/c they are retarded & can't OPEN A JPEG! I have way too much class to do that. Any ways KINKOS is not WAYYY Cheaper!

-I did not have a blast watching my beautiful ALMOST, not quite there but THINKS she is 2 year old play with chalk Saturday b/c it was over 50* out!! She did not try to draw on the grass, b/c if this draws on the driveway "why not the gwass mama?"

"The Story"

Okay okay!! So I have been asked via DM, Txt (for those who know me IRL), FB msg, IM, etc... for the proposal story.

"Its been like 2 weeks! I can't believe there hasn't been a blog about it yet!"

and

"Pictures of the ring... PUH-Lease!!!"

Is about what I am hearing.

I have been waiting to get my ring back from the jewelers, I got it back last night! (!!!) I wear a very small size 4, and it took them about 2 weeks to size it properly. The woman took M & I that she has been in that store for 7 yrs and no one has ever had such a small finger...haha.

He did it February 14, 2010- yes Valentines Day. Scoff if you will, but he wanted to do it before then, he had the ring 2 weeks prior, but with the weather not cooperating (screw snow) he couldnt wait any longer... haha. I had just gotten home from DE- I went with his family for the weekend to their other house to check for damage from the two blizzards. We were bickering about him going and peaking at his gift while I was gone.

I assume I was right and that he did peek, so I just tossed it at him kind of ... and after he opened the new sneakers I got him he looked at me and said

Him: you cant have yours yet, i'm gunna finish cooking
Me: okay I NEEED internet, after none this weekend...can you get my headphones for me? Him: yah

He got them for me and gave me my card it was a silly noise card I laughed and said thank you ( as a rule of thumb, we dont do sappy cards) and then he kissed me and took my hand, he was kneeling next to me...

Me: What are you doing?
Him: Kelli I love you, Will you Marry me?
Me: I giggled and then said "Yes"

He then put the ring on my finger. Then I glanced at the TV and looked at him & I said "How romantic... during the Daytona 500"

That's when he got upset and told me he has had the ring for over two weeks and it wasn't planned this way or even ON VALENTINES DAY AT ALL, but with the way the weather had been acting he had no idea when it would stop and when he would be able to give it to me, so he figured that was as good of time as any.

We have set a date for June 2011 & have a tentative location for the ceremony and a few locations in mind for the reception, I am going to make sure that location for the ceremony is available when I go home for SB in 2 weeks. I know its very advanced but June books quickly- wedding season!

I have asked a few ppl to be in the wedding & M & I have picked our colors. Beyond that there has been NO PLANNING. I have plenty of time (and a GREAT MOH)... well over a year.

So thats the story. Nothing spectacular- but I love it. It was perfect for us.

Here are a few iPhone pics... [My cam is dead] I hope these suffice lovahs!

I am sure as the wedding nears you all will be kept in the loop.

...

I am going to hit the B-I-G 200 THIS week!

Keep checking back to find out what day is the big day... b/c I am doing a giveaway!! woo!!

"QotD"

I have this great appon iPhone call QotD (Question of the Day) and it randomly gives you "deep meaningful to light playful" questions. Here are two that I came across when I was messing with the app the other day:

...

What Did you used to want, that you do not care about anymore?

This is kind of funny b/c I was just talking about this with my MIL. I majored in PR b/c I loved it [at the time], I was good at it; We ran a campaign for a non-profit & I rocked it on the Exec. team. I got a high being in a boardroom or lecture hall speaking in front of people. I wanted to be a PR executive sooo bad I could taste it. I could feel it. I would daydream about me in my suits on my phone with my briefcase blabbing to MY assistant. I wanted the BIG office, the multiple computers. The title & the paycheck that went with that title. But then one day something changed, I got pregnant earlier then I had intended, but it was part of GOD PLAN. You don't make the plan's he does. I realized, yes I am GOOD at PR but I was going to start a family [I realize you can have a HIGH powered career & a family too] but I wanted to be the one to raise MY family. I wanted to drop them off at school, pick them up, be at the sporting events or recitals/or meets [dance, musical or gymnastics] I wanted to see them grow. Have family game nights. I wanted to make a normal calendar day special, just b/c I love my family. I just couldn't see myself doing PR & being happy. With high power comes late nights, long hours & trips. Sitting in an office would be stifling, when I knew my family was at home, w/o me. Even taking my work home wouldn't be enjoy able to me. I finished my degree b/c there was no reason to turn back when I was 1 class (3 credits) short of finishing & graduated. I was lost. I prayed & prayed. I talked to people I trusted & I realized I wanted to TEACH: the hours are conducive to family life (I can BE THERE), I can help make a difference in the lives of children, No sitting in an office all day, I can be with them for EVERY HOLIDAY no excuses we're on the same schedule for ALL breaks, THIS IS WHERE MY PASSION IS- I can see myself doing this in 20, 30yrs & still be happy. Here we are today, I am in the process of getting my Masters degree in Early Childhood Development & Special Education. More education is ALWAYS the better idea.

If you could "have it both ways" rather then having to choose between one or the other, what would you have both ways? [don't worry about sounding selfish, greedy, materialistic, etc...]

I wish I could be both a SAHM/SAHW & Have my [as soon as I am done with the masters program] teaching career. I love keeping a house, making coffee every morning, doing the dishes while it brews & switching the laundry, folding it with NickJr or PlayHouse Disney in the background. I love making fun lunches for E & planning what's for dinner every night while I make my grocery list on Sunday's (back when I had my own place).

I have LOVED every single [even though I complain sometimes] second of raising E for the last [almost] 2 yrs. It has been BEAUTIFUL to watch her grow & learn. To watch her become her own little person & develop her own personality has been an amazing & breathtaking journey. I am excited beyond words for the next stage(s) in her life. I am so blessed that I am getting to be here for the tea parties, dress-ups, bubble-baths & bake-offs. I am so excited for all her life holds. The possibilities are endless.

But I am also thrilled that I have started a program that I love with all my being. Something I am so passionate about. I want to teach. I want to make a difference in the lives of many. I can't wait to walk into a classroom & that room be MINE. I can't wait to look into the faces of children who are so ready to learn. I can't wait to have the certification to teach children who have special needs. The children that God choose to be his extra special angels on earth. This is the path that after a lot of prayer and soul searching that I know he has chosen for me to go down. This is where god has lead me.

While I am teaching & making the difference in the life of someone else's beautiful gift, my angel will be in the hands of someone else. That is hard for me as the only "hands" she has ever been in have been mine, a few family members, her godmothers & godfathers (Andy), and 1 or 2 close "aunties". I know that I have 2 more yrs before I have to "let go" & when I do she will be 4 y/o & in preschool... Maybe closer to 5. 5 means KINDERGARDEN... Oy! No matter what she will go to preschool, before the big K- so its coming. Its part of [her] GROWING UP. Can I have a "stop time" please?

If I could only "have it both ways"...

Now freaders... Its your turn to answer the QotD...

What Did you used to want, that you do not care about anymore?

[This was supposed to be posted on the 29th but Internet was down until today]

On 12/29/04 I lost my first child, @ 16.6 weeks to a partial miscarriage.

I do ask one thing of my readers, I don't mind sharing personal things with you all, if you choose to leave a comment please remember we are all adults. No one is forcing you to read this blog & there is no reason to leave mean or nasty comments. With that said...

Most look at a woman, esp. a younger woman with a child and assume it was easy for her to have that child. That is not always the case.

A lot of women suffer through miscarriages, in silence. Some choose not to talk about it or only talk to people close to them.

I have always, for as long as I can remember wanted to be a BRIDE, then A MOMMY. Well things don't always work out the way YOU planned. I feel HEAD OVER HEELS for a MAN 6 yrs my senior when I was 17 [he was 24, with a 4yr old]. He was my FRIST love, my FRIST everything. Well in one of my many "day" trips home from college I got pregnant. [I know exactly when it was but yall don't need that much info].

I didn't tell a SINGLE person. I was scared. I was 18. I was a freshman in COLLEGE. There was another girl in my dorm MOVING OUT, b.c she was pregnant. AND the father of the baby, my first love, was with another girl, one of my [then ex] friends. [I have let bygones be bygones] I am pro-life. I acted like nothing had changed. I went to my OB, alone. Confirmed, 8wks. I became DD, always, no one asked questions bc we had stopped drawing straws, I volunteered.

When I started to gain weight, visibly, most thought, freshman 15. My dance teacher was the first to ask "Are you pregnant? or do you need to go see our nutritionist?" I had to tell her b/c the excess weight was tearing up my toes (I danced pointe) & killing my ankles. I was put in a younger kid ballet class to keep my activity up & to stay healthy.

I had 2 u/s. One @ 8weeks5days when I was confirmed & one at 15weeks2days. At my 15.2 wk u/s the tech told me that if she was a betting woman she would say it was a girl, b/c the baby was "spread eagle and there was nothing "extra" in there but that I could schedule a gender scan in a few weeks to be sure. I wanted to be sure, you know before I broke the news to my family that I was having a baby.

So I went back to my exam room & waited for my doctor [this office was great... they did EVERYTHING THERE] I talked to her about a gender scan & she told her about prices. I was paying out of pocket b/c if my dads insurance found out I would have been dropped. It was scheduled for when my next apt was, 1 month away. That would put me at 21 weeks. About then I would not be able to hide it anymore.

I never made it to my gender scan. I went home for Christmas break a few days later. I tried to meet up w.the father before Christmas. I had seen him over Thanksgiving, briefly. I told him I thought I was pregnant (I knew I was) & that it was me or her. He picked her. He needed to want me for the right reasons, not b/c I was pregnant. Our schedules never meshed. But I knew we NEEDED to talk. This was important. We had scheduled to talk the day I was going back to Jax. The 29th. I wanted to spend NYE with my friends.

It was the 23. While I was home I started to feel icky & my back was KILLING me. I brushed it off as the lack of sleep the night before, the packing to go home & 2 hr drive home that day. I rested and went to bed early, If I was coming down with something I needed it to go away on its own b/c I couldn't take anything.

I had Christmas festivities & shopping to do with my younger (by 1.5yrs) sister so I had to push the icky/blah feeling aside and bring on the Jingle & the Bells!

The next few days were a blur. I didn't have time to feel sick. But by the 27th the pain in my back and now in my lower abdomen were hard to ignore. I was having cramp like pains & i have seen slight light pink color to my urine. I CALLED MY OB asap. I was scared & still doing this on my own (till I met w.the father in 2days). She said that the 'cramping' I was feeling was probably just tendons stretching from the baby growing and that was what I was feeling & said that some women 'spot' while pregnant, but wanted to see me in the office as soon as I got back to Jax.

I was driving back in 2days, after meeting w.J.

The 28th I didn't have any plans but to pack my stuff up, so I slept in. Got up ate some food took a nap. I was EXHAUSTED & had no idea why. I guess the business of my days caught up w.me. I still had the pain. No as sharp.

The day went along kind of slow, just a relaxing day at home. My sister and I had plans to go to the movies, I bailed. I went to bed early, again. The thought of telling someone in less then 24hrs that I was carrying his baby was waring on me.

I woke up at around 230a (on the 29th) with horrible pains and a sudden urge to pee. [TMI?] I went to the restroom & I was horrified. If you know what happens when a woman miscarries then you know what I saw when I pulled down my pants. I luckily had my cell w.me [I had used it as a light in the dark hallway]. I was shaking. I called my OB. The answering service said that she would call me back with in 5 mins. I was crying. Alone.

My OB called. I described what was going on what I was seeing. After talking to me for about 15/20 mins she told me that it sounded like I had had a partial miscarriage , but wouldn't know till I could get into the office. I would most likely need a D&C to remove what was left & prevent infection. She asked if I could be back in Jax by that afternoon. I said yes.

I called J at about 6am. Told him we needed to meet sooner then scheduled. I told him everything, though tears. I felt he should know. I went back home and told my mom in confidence, she swore to secrecy. I was a mess and my mom is my bestfriend and I needed her.

I should have had RhoGAM. My OB feels if I would have had the RhoGAM, when I found out I was preg (10wks) the miscarrige could have been prevented. (I had 3shots of it w.E).

I had another miscarriage in April of 07. My OB confirmed me at 4wks4days- very early to catch pregnancy, a HPT, prolly wouldn't have caught that she said. --I couldn't hold in another pregnancy. I called my mom, she was devastated, I had another year of college left and I had only known GD, the father, for such a short period of time. This was in early March, lets FF to April 15.

We went to dinner at a friends house, GD had told his friend I was preg his friends wife was excited (they had a little girl who had just turned 1) she was like you can have all our old stuff before we move, a lot is gender neutral! I went to the RR before we ate dinner and I noticed some light spotting. I was worried but not overly concerned, It was light & I had an apt in 2 days. I put some TP in my undies [TMI? Sorry] and went on w.dinner. I had some slight cramping later that night but figured it was from dinner. But from experience I knew I needed to be careful & not brush the cramping/spotting off. I woke up early the next AM April 16, to put final touches on a paper. When I finally went to the RR that morning. I just started to worry. There was a lot more and darker spotting. I went to the ER. I was taken back immediately I was shaking and I was a mess. I miscarried at 10wks2days.

Loosing a child is hard, in an unexplainable way. I know they [s/he] weren't born yet but they were still my children.

"Cheaters..."

...Never prosper.

I had a completely different post for today (hence the lateness of this one).

But after ALL of the Tiger Woods nonsense on the actual NEWS, I feel the need to voice my opinions.

I understand the news coverage after the WORLDS BEST GOLFER is in a car accident. But once we found out he was alright, it should have been left alone. Left to ET, Access Hollywood, TMZ, etc... The 'gossipy' style shows that air AFTER the news casts are over.

He has been cheating on his wife with not ONE but TWO women. One in LA and one in NY. Why are people so surprised? Honestly.

I think this is a family matter and needs to be left to the family, but when you are Tiger Woods (or any other sports SUPERSTAR), that won't happen. I feel the most for his wife and children.

BUT there is ALWAYS two sides to every story. That does NOT by any means give him the ALL CLEAR to cheat though. I will never understand why men (or women) run around on their boyfriends/girlfriends/fiancees/wifes/husbands/etc..

If you are that UNHAPPY, I believe that you NEED to try to get happy by fixing it. If after a REAL honest to God effort on trying to fix what you think was causing your unhappiness & you're still unhappy & you honestly don't think it can be mended & you have exhausted all your options to fix "it" (whatever it may be) then you need to talk to your S/O about what the next step is. If its some time apart to clear your head, see what it is like w/o the other person (set boundaries- ie: no seeing other people etc), ending the relationship, taking the steps to getting a divorce, etc... What ever you feel works best for you & your s/o.

Whatever the case may be There is NEVER EVER a reason to cheat. If you feel you need to cheat then you shouldn't be in the relationship you are in.

I am sure everyone has been cheated on, if not you are lucky. It doesn't feel good when you find out that your s/o has been running around on you. I think the signs were there and we just don't want to see them, am I right? The same is probably true for Mrs. Woods.

Someone once told that the more you try to make someone love you or be with you the more you end up pushing them away (this is about a past relationship, I just didn't want to let go). I think this holds true about cheaters too, yes?

Like I said we don't know what went on behind closed doors @ the Woods' household, nor should we. This is a family matter. I personally think that after one affair she should leave him but now there are two... GOODBYE. I was raised by the mantra: Once a cheater, Always a cheater. (I know this isn't true for everyone- but for most it is)

The WORST part of it all? The affairS have been going on for the entirety of BOTH of her children's lives & b/c he's TIGER WOODS every step he or she for that matter, makes from here on out will be scrutinized by the public (people like me... yes I said it) & the Media (they fuel the publics fire).

You can read one of the MANY stories here

I do hope this is the last time I have to post on something like this.

Thx for sticking with me [us]... the journey REALLY has just begun.

"Convo w/a Toddler" && "Thanksgiving Thursday"

After E's nap yesterday I changed her, per the usual routine. As we were walking out of her room for lunch, we walked past this hanging above the light switch by her door:

(ultrasound pictures of E for those who don't know- 1 from each trimester to show the amazing change/growth)

E points to it and says her name. This (saying her name) is no big feat, but the fact that she realized that, that was her was! Granted we have been walking past that frame numerous times EVERYDAY for 19 mons & everyday I tell her "thats baby E, when you lived in mommys tummy" and we walk on, b/c she never seems to interested.

Well NOT today. Oh no. E was interested. She wanted to talk. So talk we did. Hayley , over at Blue Eyed Blonde, witnessed this convo via the speakerphone feature on the iPhone:

E: Memmy!!! Memmmmmyyyy!!!!!!! [pointing at said frame bouncing while I hold her].
Me: Yes baby that is you. That's when you lived in mamas tummy.
E: Yah.
Me: Do you remember that?
E: Yah baby. [hugs me].
Me: Did you like it when you lived in mamas tummy?
E: YAH!!!! YAH!!!! [rubs my hair...roughly, but she is trying to be nice, I hope]
Me: Was it comfy and warm in my tummy?
E: ...[quiet like she is thinking]... umm... NO mama. No [shakes her head].
Me: It wasn't?
E: No ma.
Me: [clearly thrown, I said bye to Hayls as she was cracking up like it was the funniest thing, ever.] Baby you want lunchies?
E: Yah juicey juiceyyyy!!!!
Me: Okay you can have Juice too honey.
[[She hugs me again and we are off to the kitchen]]

E & I have tons of fun convos daily. She is at the age where I can finally start to understand 85-90% of what she says. Her words are clearer, she says a lot more words now. 2-4 word sentences and she repeats [almost] everything. I love when she toddles up to me and just starts going on & on.

A few hrs later during tubbies I said:

"you know what? I love you." "Can you say I love you?"

E: Yes. [she made a kissy face]

I gave her a big wet hug and took my kiss. Now when I say E I love you... she makes a smooches face!!! I love it.

------------

Instead of posting TWO blogs one day, I am trying a two-in-one... I started a "series" last week called "Thanksgiving Thursdays" and said it would run till Thanksgiving... and I need to follow that through. So without further ado:

"Thanksgiving Thursday"

I have been so blessed my entire life. So this week, 7 days Thanksgiving, I want to go traditional in the listing of things I am thankful for:

- My toddler, I can't call her a baby anymore, b/c she isn't a baby. Although she will ALWAYS be my baby she isn't a baby, shes a BIG girl. She is my reason for waking up every morning.

-To be a mom. It has changed my life, for the better in ways I never thought possible.

-My family. They can be crazy, eccentric (ily you Aunt Pam) at times but they raised me right. I was raised by a wonderful beautiful SINGLE mother, a strong southern baptist grandmother (who was also helping to raise my 5 other cousins about the same age as me) she also raised her son (and 2 other children), my dad, a United States Marine.

-My friends who ARE family. W/O yall I would be lost.

-The fact that I "found" myself over the past 20 mons while being back home and now know what my true calling in life is: to teach, to help. (69 days!!)

-My boyfriend, My bestfriend, my everything. M I love you baby! You are helping me make so many of my dreams come, you're the best. I can't wait to see what's in store for us!!

-My blog friends. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!! You all know what to say and when to say it. Yall seriously rock my corner of the interweb.

-GOD. He made all of this possible. With out him I would have nothing.

**We are one week away from Thanksgiving... Share with us-- WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR?**

------------

**Look for MORE Convo's w/a Toddler next week!**

Thx for sticking with me [us]... the journey REALLY has just begun!

Does a LOVE like this exist?

Edward to Bella:

"Do you really have any idea how important you are to me? Any concept at all of how much I love you?" He pulled me tighter against his hard chest, tucking my head under his chin.

[page -34- Eclipse, Stephenie Meyer]

or...

Am I shooting for the stars? am I aiming for the unattainable?

Over a year ago [Oct 2007] I made a list, got the idea from E.Wiggle back in the day to make the list and she brought back the list and edited it for her current boyfriend an crossed off what she no longer wants and bolded what boyfriend has and what hes "working on" and so on and so forth. -I want someone who likes to go to concerts (my music and his). [he thinks country is "garbage"]

-I want someone who opens doors for me... and the three girls walking behind me.
-I want an "I missed you" when I come back from being gone for more than a day.
-I want to be one of his first stops when he comes back from being gone for more than one day. [I want to see him more then one day a week! damn]
-I want to talk about taking vacations together then actually doing it.
-I want someone who will take photos with me... as many and wherever I want.
-I want someone who initiates those pictures.

-I want someone I'm proud to say is MINE.
-I want someone who's proud to say she's MINE.
-I want to be the first person he greets when he walks into a crowded room.
-I want to be the only girl he eyeballs. [I know im not, Im not that dense]
-I want to be... HIS.

--As I was writing this blog about a week ago I thought a love like this didn't exist. A love like "Edward & Bella" or like in all my country songs (WHAT!? Im a hopeless romantic! and I know "hes" out there somewhere!) but after week of sitting on this blog and thinking about it, I realized that kind of love DOES in fact exist. I have just been willing to settle for the first man who would stick around. I am terrified to be alone. I am not too good to admit that. I have before in the past. I thought I had found my forever but I am slowly realizing that I might not have found it. Holy shit I am only 22 years old. I used to feel like I was "damaged goods" or something b/c I am a divorced 22 y/o with a child. BUT guess what?! That just makes me that much BETTER. How you ask? Well I will tell you: *I know what married life is like, and YES I love it...l *I know what I want in a man... I am done compromising, Ive done enough of that in my life... *I don't play games... *Not only do you get my wonderful self but you get my fabulous daughter as well- a 2 for 1 if you will... can't beat that... *Just b/c I have a child doesn't mean I don't want more... I do 1-2 actually... *divorce... again... Is not an option... *I love life and all it has to offer, I made mistakes and I dont want to be judged so I wont judge you! ** Just a few reasons why I am so awesome even though I am as I like to say "damaged or used" maybe "vintage" is a better word? yah. I like that.

I am an excuse maker. I don't make them for myself as I am very hard on myself. I make them for the men I am involved with and I noticed that today. "his car is broken" "he has no money this month" "he was tired so he crashed out early, so I didnt get to talk to him much today, maybe tomorrow will be better" "he would rather cook in his own kitchen, he likes his stuff better" -- Why do I do this? Do I do this to make myself feel better or do I do it to make my relationship sound better to outsiders? I really honestly don't know why I do it. I had no idea I did it until today. Thats definitely something to think about.

I have been thinking, alot. Mainly about mine and Emmy's future. She deserves the best, of everything. So I need to make sure I work my hardest to give her the best. So I need to make sure any man that is in her life is a "keeper" none of this wishywashy crap Im used to dealing with. I need someone WHO IS GOING TO BE THERE FOR US! (more then 1 day a week...we live in the same damn city! 40 mins isnt that far!)

Thats all for now I think this is plenty long enough..

Good night internets & my very few readers (if you read me and are not a follwer...please follow... thank you)!
